When I saw the T-shirt (shown above) online, I laughed aloud and immediately thought of my husband. No, my husband, is not a ‘porker’, but it just seemed like such a man shirt. With 4 men in my house, pork chops have always seemed to be a hearty “manly” dish that is welcomed any weekday.
The following pork chop recipe comes from Hidden Valley, the Original Ranch Dressing. Their website contains many easy-to-make recipes (which is ideal for busy families), healthy eating tips, and family friendly activities to enjoy together. When I made the recipe this week, I found it was simple to prepare and the pork chops turned out moist (not dry or hardened) with a great tasting tangy seasoned flavor.
-
1 packet (1 ounce) Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix
-
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
-
6 pork loin rib chops about 1-inch thick
-
Dash of paprika (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 450ºF.
- In a small bowl, add the Seasoning mix, together with the salt, pepper, and paprika and mix well. Liberally sprinkle the pork chops on both sides with the seasoning mixture.
- Arrange the chops on a baking sheet or try with a rack. Bake the pork chops for 20 minutes, turning once until browned or an internal temperature of 160ºF is reached. Serve immediately.
*NOTE: I used pork chop tenderloins (with no bones) and added Goya Adobo (all purpose seasoning) in substitute of the salt & pepper.*
This recipe is included in a weekly virtual recipe exchange called #SabrosoSaturday hosted by Latina On a Mission so be sure to check out the other “Yummy” featured recipes.

My teen firmly believes all the food groups start with CH – chicken, chocolate, cheese. I like how you used boneless pork tenderloins and eliminate that potential issue (some pork chops have very sharp bones). Making notes so I can sneak in some chuletas.

I just love pork but never had much success except for the super fried version. This looks good and better for you! I am putting this on the menu this week!
