Graduation season seems to be all around us during the months of May and June. From kindergarten to high school and college graduations, exciting and new changes are underway for the graduates about to embark on their next phase of education or life. In my family, there were 4 high school graduations this year from my parents’ 15 grandchildren (and from my 11 nieces and nephews). Mami of Multiples has been blessed to experience its own graduation when my oldest son, Joseph, graduated high school this past May.
Its been an a joyous and even an emotional time for my family, especially for me as his mother. He was the child that made me become a mother. He was the child that has been with me my entire adult life. He was the child that traveled with me on business trips to family-friendly destinations like Walt Disney World as a working outside the home mother. He was raised alongside my parents so he is many ways not only their grandson but also like their son. He was (and still is) my sweet nature, funny (especially his dance moves) and responsible boy. Before the twins (and baby Joshua) were born, he was my only child for 10 years. It seems like life was preparing him for the role of being a big brother. Even as a only child, he has always been loving, caring, patient and protective with any child. He is truly an excellent big brother. He was my entire world for a long time and still my world revolves around him (along with his 3 younger brothers). He is truly a blessing to all of us in his family and we are so thankful to be able to celebrate his academic and personal achievements.
Our family will be celebrating Joseph’s graduation at the .
