As a wife and mother to all boys, the animal kingdom is a popular theme in my home. My family enjoys watching nature shows and my toddler twin boys love naming animals from the zoo or the in the wild.  With the concepts of family, parenthood and protecting one’s children, AFRICAN CATS, is a visually stunning film that the entire family can watch together.

African Cats is an epic true story set against the backdrop of one of the wildest places on Earth.  It captures the real-life love, humor and determination of the majestic kings of the savanna.  The story features Mara, an endearing lion cub who strives to grow up with her mother’s strength, spirit and wisdom; Sita, a fearless cheetah and single mother of five mischievous newborns; and Fang, a proud leader of the pride who must defend his family from a once banished lion.  African Cats is truly the “Lion King” brought to life.

Disneynature will continue to contribute to this cause with its home entertainment sales as well.
