After our wonderful experience last Fall during our #MOMBVPalace trip, we are true fans of the The Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa, an official hotel of the Walt Disney World Resort that is ideally located directly across from the Downtown Disney area at 1900 E Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830. The amenities are truly for adults and children to enjoy from children’s playground and arcade to full service salon and spa for adults. In addition to the fun amenities, the dining choices create a wonderfully inviting atmosphere for families and couples, especially at the Avu-Avu Restaurant!
As part of the #AvuAvuCrew media event, we were able to experience first-hand Avu-Avu. Its is an all-you-can-eat, family-style tropical feast featuring an array of meat skewers flame-grilled that are deliciously prepared with unique and flavorful seasonings. What we loved about Avu-Avu…
- The beautiful open kitchen and tropical decor.
- When you think all-you-can-eat family-style dining, your mind goes to buffets or waiting in long lines – not at Avu-Avu! Fantastic table service with friendly staff create a very pleasant experience.
- Fun fruity drinks, i.e. mango strawberry colada with a touch of spiced rum (that are available ‘virgin’ style for the kids).
- The food….AWESOME! Avu-Avu has some of the most uncommon combination of seasonings that truly develop into a really delicious dish. Some of entrees include Guava Chai Rib Bites, Coffee Colada Chicken Breast, Root Beer BBQ Pork, Citrus Ginger Shrimp, and Kalbi Marinated Sirloin.
- A fun and very tasty take on tres leche cake (coconut milk cake) is their signature dessert, Caramelized Pineapple Coconut Milk Cake.
Since food is important in our household of a teen boy, preschool identical twin boys, and a hubby, we wanted the opinion of our resident teen reviewer, Joseph, (who had experienced our #MOMBVPalace trip last Fall). We were delighted that he was able to partake in the #AvuAvuCrew event, and he REALLY liked the atmosphere, decor, and food. He liked not having to get up and walk around just to get a new plate food. As growing teen, the all-you-can-eat feature allowed him to eat to his heart’s content and not disrupt the family dining experience by not getting up from the table as you commonly have to when eating at a buffet. (The grilled meats were among his favorite dishes).
Are you looking to have a family outing and spend some quality time around the table without breaking the bank? Looking for a new date night restaurant? Have an upcoming business dinner? Adults prices are $29.95 and children are $13.95 for all-you-can-eat.
Thanks to the Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa and Avu-Avu restaurant, we are offering a gift certificate for dinner for two valued up to $75.00! (If you don’t live locally, you have plenty of time to get to Orlando since the gift certificate is valid until 1/31/16). Enter for the chance to win via the Rafflecopter link below.
