With the back to school routine comes a new year full of schoolwork, homework, projects, research papers, presentations and more. When you have different school aged children, like in my household with a high school sophomore and kindergarten twins, each student often need to have their own space for school and homework. Regardless of the size of a home, a dedicated space can be designed for each student or by grade level. ClosetMaid recently launched a new product line at Staples stores nationwide just in time for back to school called the ShelfTrack Elite Home Office.
The DIY (do-it-yourself) ClosetMaid ShelfTrack Elite Home Office Kit is a home office setup that can fit in a small nook area or on a larger wall. The items can be purchased together (as seen as above) or sold as separate pieces for individual customization. The complete Home Office Kit system includes:
- A Home Office Kit – with desk and 4 shelves (pictured below)
- 3-Drawer Mobile File Cabinet
- Bookshelf Kit – including 3 shelves
- Fabric tray in Light Brown
- Fabric tray in Brown
- Fabric bin in Light Brown
- Fabric bin in Brown
Over the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays, we had the blessing of building our home so we are still in the process of decorating and putting things where we would like it. Though the upstairs of our home has a built-in tech and desk center, we still wanted to have a separate desk area for my business work and as needed. We setup the ShelfTrack Elite Home Office in an upstairs corner of the gaming/tech living room area. The instructions to assemble home office kit (desk and 4 shelves) were easy to read and understand.
Important to note when assembling
Have proper tools available (electric screw driver and laser/torpedo levels for alignment) and be prepared to make several holes in the wall for the brackets to fit.
Since installing, I have been using the home office kit for my business needs and its conveniently useful as a fully functional home study area or office. The mobile filing cabinet fits just right underneath the desk and the storage bins/tray have helped to keep my paperwork organized.
Thanks to Staples, we are offering a hosted giveaway of a Bookshelf Kit, one (1) fabric tray and one (1) fabric bin, valued at more than $125.
