This has been a busy summer filled with business travel, family events and outings for myself and my family. When you are on the road with the kids – whether traveling by plane or car – the unavoidable “I need to go to the bathroom” occurs. Thanks to Charmin, parents (and anyone) can find a restroom on their mobile device when they’re out and about with the Sit or Squat app.
The free app allows users to share information on the availability, quality and cleanliness of public restrooms in cities across the country. The app now includes features and information about locations, ratings, photos and helpful hints for more than 125,000 public bathrooms throughout the United States. Sit or Squat allows users to find restrooms with specific features, i.e., changing tables and handicap access etc. Users can add a new location and then rate their experience by designating that restroom as a “Sit” (for an enjoyable bathroom) or a “Squat” (for a restroom that could be better), based on the cleanliness and overall experience. Comments and uploading photos can be done directly on the app too.
As Charmin’s Sit or Squat Orlando Editor, the following are some of the bathrooms we reviewed throughout Central and South Florida:
Chuck E Cheese
SIT – Though the Chuck E Cheese in Orlando is for customers only, if you ask an attendant that you need to use the restroom, they will allow you to use it (even if you are not a customer).
Uno’s Chicago Grill & Pizza
SIT – The restrooms at Uno’s in Winter Garden are clean, open to the public and handicap accessible.
Ormond Beach, Florida
SIT – Ormond Beach (near Daytona Beach, FL) is a public beach, the restrooms were fairly clean and well stocked.
Universal Studios Orlando
SIT – We are invited as media to the Transformers: 3D Ride Grand Opening and the bathrooms located next to the ride are clean & convenient.
W Hotel South Beach
SIT – One of our Mami Innovative Media’s clients is Britax Child Safety and we helped to coordinate a photoshoot for their new product line at the beautiful W Hotel South Beach. The bathrooms are open to guests and the public in the lobby.
The Sit or Squat app is available to for free for the iPhone or Android.

We first heard about the app from your earlier post in June. The sit of squat app was a helpful tool for us as we traveled from Florida to New Jersey a few weeks ago. We used it to identify clean rest stops. Good app!

Es super agradable entrar a un baño y que este limpio, sin malos olores, y lo mejor de todo es encontrarnos con Charmin.
