One of our favorite Easter traditions is making crafts with the kids. Whether we’re making paper plates into bunnies, dying Easter eggs, or creating a tissue paper chick, crafting is fun during the Easter season. From paper mosaic Easter eggs to felt carrot pouches for the Easter Bunny, if you are looking for a great Easter craft for your homeschool or to create something special for the holiday, check out our Easter crafts and printables.
Easter Egg Dauber Counting Worksheet
Materials
1. Various colors of craft daubers
2. Easter egg dauber counting worksheet printable
Instructions
- Have your child hold the dauber in their hand like they would a pencil. Beginning with the number one egg, have them use the dauber to place dots over the white circles on each egg as they count.
- This worksheet can be used for number word recognition for older children, as well as counting practice for younger children.
- You can also use the worksheet to help your child identify colors if they still need some practice with those as well. Have them point to and repeat the colors of they eggs as they do the worksheet.
- Once the dauber ink has dried, you can reinforce the lesson of the worksheet by giving your child fruit loops or a colored candy, and having them place one piece in each of the filled in white circles on the eggs. They can safely eat the snack when they have finished their counting practice.
Carrot Treat Pouch (Easter Felt Craft Project)
List of Supplies
1. Felt fabric – orange, light green and dark green
2. Scrap felt fabrics – 3-4 different colors
3. Scissors
4. Matching thread and needle
5. Fabric glue
6. Pencil – to trace the template
7. Template
Making Process
Step (1)
Print and cut out the patterns from the template. Trace the carrot patterns on orange felt, leaf patterns on the green felts and small circles on different colored scrap felt fabrics.
Step (2)
Take the 2 carrot patterns and place the smaller one on the top of the big one; match the bottom ends of both pieces. Prepare needle and thread for stitching both pieces together.
Step (3)
Stitch around the sides of both pieces but keep the top side of the smaller pattern open. After done stitching tie a tight knot and trim extra thread.
Step (4)
Place the larger leaf pattern at the top-back side of the larger carrot pattern, slightly overlap both pieces, about 1 cm should do.
Step (5)
Now place the smaller leaf pattern on the top front side of the larger carrot, overlapping the same amount of fabric. Stitch the 2 leaf pattern with the carrot. You may also use fabric glue instead of stitching them.
Step (6)
Take the small circles cut out from scrap felt fabrics and use fabric glue to add them to the carrot pouch. Place and glue them however you wish. Allow the glue to dry.
(7)
Done! You can place the treats inside the carrot pouch. You can also create larger version of these carrot pouches to put more treats in them.
