Easter is a beautiful time for families to come together and spend time with one another. There are many different games, activities, traditions and recipes that you can try out this Easter. Here is a list of some fun ideas that you and your family can enjoy. (Click on the links and pictures to get recipes, activities, crafts, printables and more Easter fun ideas).
What’s for Breakfast?
Before all the festivities begin, you will want to feed those hungry bellies with some nutritious food that will outweigh all the candy from those lovely Easter baskets. A breakfast casserole is an easy meal that you can create the night before and pop into the oven first thing in the morning. If you have some time and don’t mind a little mess, then invite the kids into the kitchen and make some colorful pancakes; pour pancake mix into a couple of different bowls and test out some food coloring. Top it off with some healthy fruits.
Easter Brunch
Easter is just around the corner, and before you know it, it’ll be time to hunt for eggs and bake that delicious Easter ham. The first day of spring may be March 20th, but we are already thinking of ways to incorporate spring meals and tasty desserts into our Easter recipes.

The Egg Hunt
Hunting for eggs is one of the most anticipated activities when Easter is approaching. There are many different ways that you can decorate your Easter Eggs and perform your egg hunt. Recently, I came across a neat idea to take plastic eggs and fill them with glow sticks for an egg hunt at night effect! If you use plastic eggs, then have your kids decorate them with stickers and glitter. If you are taking the traditional route and are boiling the eggs, you can dip them in dye, decorate with permanent marker, cover them in glitter, or ty-dye them by putting different food colors in shaving cream and dipping in the eggs. There are so many creative ways to decorate Easter Eggs, have fun and make yours unique.

Keep Kids Busy
If your attending church or are needing to drive a distance to visit family, then you may be wondering how you will keep the kids entertained. There are many Easter movies, TV shows and age appropriate Easter books available to rent or purchase. Look for free Easter themed printables online, such as coloring pages, puzzles, word scrambles, and bingo games that the kids will enjoy. Print them out, add some crayons and let the fun begin (even on a car trip).

Easter Bunny Cheese Sticks
Materials
- Cheese sticks
- Craft foam
- Small craft pom poms
- Glue
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Googly eyes
- Sharpie
Instructions
- Draw the shape of two small bunny ears on a piece of craft foam.
- Cut out the bunny ear shapes from the craft foam with scissors.
- Glue two of the bunny ears to the top of the back of the cheese stick, so that the rounded part of the stick is facing up.
- Use glue to attach two googly eyes to the front of the cheese stick.
- Under the eyes, glue one small craft pom pom for a nose.
- Glue two other small craft pom poms just below the nose, one on either side.
- Use a sharpie to draw a small semi-circle mouth below the nose of the bunny.
Let the Games Begin!
Every family gathering needs to include some fun games, especially when children are bouncing around. You can break out a football and let the kids run, jump, and play a fun non-aggressive match; adults will have fun joining in. If a family member has a corn hole set then tell them to bring it along; everyone loves a game of cornhole. Some of the best quick, fun and competitive games are the minute-to-win-it games; have fun trying to toss carrots into a bucket that your teammate is holding or see how many jellybeans you can put into a cup with just a straw.
Add Some Crafts
Along with food and games, there should also be some crafts. If you are inviting guests to your home, then set-up a table with two different craft options for kids and adults to enjoy. You can make funny bunny faces with a paper plate or use finger paints to create a bunny handprint. Use some yellow tissue paper to create a baby chick or glue strips of different colored paper together to create a picture of an Egg. Search online and discover many enjoyable and fun ideas.
