As a homeschool family, I wanted to share with all of you two amazing products we recently received that are perfect for homeschool families (and for year-round learning fun). The first was one of my kid’s absolute favorite “toys” EVER! It was the Primary Science Deluxe Lab Set from Learning Resources. Launched this year, this lab set is sure to make a huge splash in the homeschool community! This set has everything you need for hours of science experiment fun but every item in the kit is kid friendly and safe. This product is good for ages 3 and up and although they are sure to make a fun mess, there is nothing to cause any damage or harm which is a plus.
The kit includes the following:
- 2 Large test tubes with stand
- Eyedropper
- 2 Funnels
- Safety glasses
- Tall stand with adjustable holder clips
- 2 Twisty connector tubes
- 3 Stoppers
- Sensory Tube with solid and vented lids
- Primary Science View Scope with viewing case
- 20 Double-sided Activity Cards
- My Science Journal
The My Science Journal and Activity cards are all laminated so they are perfect for little messy hands and best of all the science journal can be used again and again each year with a dry erase marker! The journal allows students to write down their observations of each science experiment and is laid out in a kid friendly way.
We did a Candy Paint experiment and the kids got to sort M&M’s and put them in groups of 10–this was math, color coordination and science all in one–my friends. We then added water to the beakers to create colored paint, which the kids were able to use to paint pictures. (Bonus was that the Primary Science Deluxe Lab Set provided an art lesson for the day too… woohoo!) Using the Primary Science Deluxe Lab Set, we were able to cover many school subjects in a fun and interactive way! The kids had a blast with this kit and we still have 19 more science activity cards to use and experiment. The set is made very well and durable so I’m sure that it will last through several years of homeschool fun.

The second product we received was Design & Drill Robot by Educational Insights and was released earlier this year. This toy was really cool and great for the younger kids to learn fine motor skills. The age range is for 3-6 and both my boys (even my 2 year old) had a great time playing with this robot.
The robot could be customized with different stickers to make it their own. The head, arms and legs all swivel and move. The robot has several nuts and bolts to be screwed in with a nice thick screw driver that is perfect for little fingers. The Design & Drill Robot really helped my three year old work on his pincher control and hand eye coordination. My six year old enjoyed playing with the screws as well and they loved it enough that they began to fight over whose turn it was next! LOL
The Design & Drill Robot can be purchased from Educational Insights, on Amazon.com and by clicking the Amazon product link below.

I think both of these products would make a great addition to any homeschool family’s home. The interactive play and learning fun covers a wide range of educational aspects and really gets the kids thinking and working outside of the box!
