Quality family time is something that most families desire on a ongoing basis but can sometimes be difficult to achieve with activities-filled schedules for every family member. Regardless of age, an opportunity that is able to bring fun, relaxation and time to enjoy each other as family is really priceless. We had the wonderful opportunity to experience the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Weekend at Nickelodeon Suites Resort (affectionately called Nick Hotel) in Orlando this past weekend. (The Power Rangers Super Megaforce Weekend will also occur this upcoming weekend of February 21-23.)
It’s an absolute great convenience to have so many options in everything from lodging, entertainment, dining and recreation centrally located within Nick Hotel. The phrase “I need a vacation from my vacation” can often occur because families are running from one recreational attraction to another trying to create memories with activities driven itinerary and consequently getting exhausted in the meantime. Nick Hotel is among the best family-friendly resort in Central Florida that also features family-friendly facilities and the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Weekend provides among the best family-friendly entertainment.
Suites
The Nick Hotel has very spacious suites that can fit an entire family. 1, 2 or 3-bedroom accommodations provides full-sized kitchens (or kitchenette), flat screen TVs, WiFi, living area and semi-private or KidSuites that are decorated with SpongeBob SquarePants or Dora the Explorer themes. We stayed in the ample 950 sq. ft. 3-bedroom suite that featured separate bedroom for the kids (the KidSuite), two private master bedrooms, two baths, a living area and full-sized kitchen. Our twins were overjoyed to have a SpongeBob SquarePants themed suite complete with a bunk bed and their own TV and our teen relaxed in his own private bedroom with a flat screen TV.
Dining
Dining options are a winning combination of fun for the kids and delicious food no matter where you dine – whether in the food court located in The Mall area, Nicktoons Cafe or Poolside. Among the favorites were the Power Rangers Super-Charged Lunch and the SpongeBob’s Bikini Bottom Breakfast, where SpongeBob, Sandy, Mr. Krab and Squidward dance around the Nicktoons Cafe and go by each table to greet, hug and take pictures with guests. The buffet style breakfast offer a variety of hearty breakfast choices from omelet stations to SpongeBob shaped waffles.
The Power Rangers Super-Charged Lunch not only has a tasty robust menu selection for adults (i.e., crab legs and pork loin) and children (i.e., hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets), but includes a training session to learn how to “kick” and be like a Power Ranger too. Like all the guests present, the twins had the opportunity to meet the Power Rangers, dance with them and learn how to move action-style like the Power Rangers as well.
(Also, Dine with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles where you an learn ninja moves, take a picture with the Turtles and enjoy an Italian buffet is great for families as well.)
Entertainment
A main highlight of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Weekend, was to be able to have a sneak peek of the all-new episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce! The show debuted last Saturday on Nickelodeon but guests were able to see the episode before it aired on TV. The Super Megaforce episode was action packed and featured the Power Rangers morphing into Power Rangers of the past (treat for long-time life-long fans). The Power Rangers were present before and after the viewing of the episode to meet each guest and have them showcase their Power Rangers moves.
Other entertainment include the 4-D Experience theater (lots of laughter when you experience water drops splashed on you, feel your seat vibrating and more interactive play featuring movies with SpongeBob, Dora and Diego, dinosaurs and more); Double Dare LIVE! show (great to see a live action family obstacle game); Family Karaoke; Story Time with Dora & Friends; full Arcade (with a lots of games to play and chances to win prizes); Kid’s Spa (where kids can get manicures, pedicures, airbrushed tattoos and hair wraps); Nick After Dark (kids are supervised and play while parents are able to be away to relax by themselves or have a date night).
Recreation
Look no further than Nick Hotel’s Water Parks for a splashing good time. The expansive Lagoon Pool showcases a HUGE slide play area that comes complete with 400 gallons of SLIME that occurs daily at the Mass Sliming; heated water (so even in cool weather, you can swim in warm waters), zero-depth entry pool (so little ones are safe swimming in-not-so-deep-waters); Nick Jr. area for little ones; bar and grill; whirlpools; relaxing cabanas; and several lifeguards on duty to ensure safety. The Oasis Pool features water slides; interactive water tower; a whirlpool and cabanas. Interactive slime shows occur daily and even one of the twins were selected to participate. In addition to the awesome water areas, a full basketball court (which the teen played several games), miniature golf, fitness center, caricature artist, and meet and greet Nickelodeon characters within The Mall.
During the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Weekend, special Power Rangers arts and crafts (like making a Power Rangers mask and activity sheet) for children’s delight and is available daily.
We HIGHLY RECOMMENDED the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Weekend and Nick Hotel for all families. With the flexibility of having all amenities necessary for a a full vacation experience located within Nick Hotel, families can spend their time doing what is important…creating memories and moments together. Join the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Weekend at Nick Hotel this upcoming weekend of February 21-23.
