With the twins being 26 months old, they are very active and trying to get into everything! This is a great stage for children because they are really starting to explore their surroundings and the world around them. We recently realized that the boys love household items, especially anything that they can be hands on with. They try to follow the things we do and they really like to handle items that fit inside in their little hands. Trucks, cars, trains, airplanes, ball pits, toolsets, toolbenches etc., are common toys that boys really love. Some new favorites are vacumm cleaners, lawn movers, and kitchen sets. Watching us use these household items daily makes the twins also want to “help” in their own way.
Examples of household toys that your multiples might enjoy are the following:
Little Tikes Super Chef Kitchen: http://www.littletikes.com/toys/super-chef-kitchen.aspx
Perfect size for twins to play and not very large for those concerned with space.
Playskool Playbox Essentials – Chompin’ Mike the Mower: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3875449
Easy for little ones to handle and it makes realistic mower sounds.
Dusty the Talking Vacuum: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2264668
Makes realistic vacuum sounds and says a few talking phrases.
Fisher-Price Handy Manny Talkin’ Toolbox: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3064145
The toolbox sings the theme song to popular Disney TV show, Handy Manny, and the tools “dance” to the song. All the tools come out of the toolbox, as well.
