Sprinkles—now open at the new town center of Disney Springs (use to be Downtown Disney).
It is considered one of the first cupcake bakeries, established in 2005, in Beverly Hills, CA. Sprinkles offers an array of seasonal, vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free cupcake, cookie and ice-cream selections. You definitely can find a delicious treat for whatever your sweet tooth craves. It offers a loyalty program just by signing up via email where you attain different levels of membership—vanilla, dark chocolate and red velvet. These membership levels can you a free cupcake on your birthday to skipping straight to the front of the line at any of their locations.
Our family, Disney lovers to say the least, had to give this new bakery a try. We heard the lines were long and most times wrapped around a few times as people couldn’t wait to get their hands on these delectable treats.
(Insider Tip: One of the best time to visit is between 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.)
We didn’t have to wait in line at all, we literally walked right up to the counter. The cast members warmly greets you with a huge smile and willing to answer any questions. Not sure what flavor of ice cream to get—not to worry—they offer free sampling flavors. They even offer suggestions of what flavor compliments your cupcake of choice and will offer tips on how to save money as you try not to grab one of everything!
After placing our order, just slide on down to the pick-up area where you can watch the bakers in action frosting each cupcake meticulously by hand.
One of the coolest thing for the girls was purchasing a cupcake from an ATM. That’s right, an ATM. You just make your selection from a drop down menu, swipe your card and out pops out a cupcake completely boxed and ready-to-go for any of you that want to get your sweet fix on the run!
There is ample amount of seating on the umbrella-covered patio which offers great shade from the heat of the day. We grabbed a seat and were ready for the taste test. From the ATM, the girls purchased a Red-velvet cupcake that was absolutely delicious—my favorite for sure. It was super moist and the frosting was the right amount of a dollop that it didn’t take away from the cake itself. At the counter, we ordered a banana cupcake with strawberry ice cream.
This was definitely a tasty treat that was both yummy and cooled us off a bit as we explored the brand new town center!
