Like many families in the U.S., my family members are spread out across the country. I’m in my 30′s with a young family, however, my parents are legally considered seniors or elderly. (You might not be able to tell that by the way my mother looks or the energy my father has). My mother gave birth to me after she was in her late 30′s and I am the youngest of 4 siblings. 16, 15 and 12 years separate my siblings and I in age and so does physical distance. My parents currently have 15 grandchildren (including my 4 children) and many grandchildren are in various states.
I’m the only one that lives in a neighboring community to my parents and so my parents are part of the daily lives of my immediate family. For my long-distance siblings and family members, being in regular contact with my parents is important. Regardless by email or phone calls, communication is key and it’s a reason we are glad my parents, especially my Dad, has reliable cell phone service like TracFone.
This summer, our family had an impromptu get-together at my parent’s home. 4 children, some spouses and 12 out of 15 grandchildren were able to catch up, reminisce, laugh, eat, play games, swim, have fun and even go bowling. It was a great bonding experience, especially for the grandchildren. The eldest grandson is entering college and 4 grandchildren are graduating high school this school year. My parents were able to spend time with the majority of their grandchildren all under their roof and had the chance to pray for each one of them as they embarked on their new school year. Though it was only for a weekend, the memories created are really priceless.
Despite all the busy schedules, making the time to spend together and talking to each other on the phone or texts are ways to remain connected as a family. Trying to remain in contact with a large family can seem over-whelming but technology has helped to close the long-distance gap. For example, if you have a smartphone (which is great to keep in touch with text, email and video chatting capabilities), you can bring it to TracFone and get one of the most affordable plans in America on one of the two largest 4G LTE networks. Keep your same cell phone number and lose the expensive annual contracts. TracFone has no contracts, no bills, no overages, no credit checks, no activation or cancellation fees. You just pay for minutes, texts or data that you actually use. Plus you get Triple Everything, 3X Talk, 3X Text, 3X Data when you purchase any no-contract plan for your Android™ smartphone device.
Since family is so important to us, my father has been putting to good use his Tracfone’s Big Easy Flip by Alcatel. An easy to read large keypad helps him to dial his children, grandchildren and an external caller ID allows him to quickly recognize and not miss any phone calls.
TracFone has a variety of plans, such as 90-day Android™ smartphone talk, text and data plans starting at just $19.99, an average monthly cost of only $7.
