Facebook is the Social network. It is the only network to have a feature film follow it and is the only website that is beating Google in terms of pageviews. Now boasting more then 1 billion users it is more than possible to rebuild relationships and find old friends.
There is also a large possibility that frenimies and co-workers will find you and although you don’t want them to see your personal Facebook page you know it would be rude and cause problems, down the road if you deny their request.
Facebook solved this dilemna a long time ago with Limited Profile but people either haven’t heard about it or still don’t know how to properly work it. If you’re one of those people read on for 8 easy steps to limiting your profile:
- Once logged in, head to the drop down account menu and click edit friends
- Click “Create a List” and name it what you want, whether it be: Limited Profile, Nosey People… I’ll leave that one to you! 🙂
- Add the people you want your profile to be limited to, to your list.
- Head back over to the top of the page and on the drop down Account menu click “Privacy Settings”.
- On the Privacy Settings page, under the grid, on the left hand side click “Customize settings”.
- After choosing the “thing” you wanted to limit, click the drop down menu by it and click “Custom”
- On the pop-up box under “Hide this from…” type in the name of your list and click “Save Settings”
- Do the last two steps for all of the items on your profile that you want to limit!
There you have it, 8 easy steps to limit your profile! Now you can add anyone you like without fearing that they’ll see too much!
