Who hasn’t dreamed of laying out on a hammock in the backyard? What could be more relaxing? The problem is, most backyard aren’t’ equipped with the necessary tools to do the job…you know what I mean by necessary tools, right?…Trees! Even if you find a free-standing hammock, it will take up a lot a space and will most likely be pretty expensive. That’s what makes the WindPouch so cool. It’s large enough for any body size and yet compact. It’s super strong and yet lightweight. It inflates literally in seconds and deflates just as easy.

It is a cleverly designed, 7.3-foot-long hammock you inflate by simply waving it through the air — no trees needed! It’s sturdy enough to support two people (up to 450 pounds total) for up to 8 hours of lounging. The 2-pound 6-ounce WindPouch features a proprietary, patent-pending headrest and its own storage bag.
Inflate it and you’ve got a hammock/chair/couch that can be used for everything from tailgating to a day spent in the outdoors. The WindPouch is easy to inflate. Just hold it up, catch some air and you’re good to go. When trying this product out at my home, I had no wind in the backyard and trying to scoop up air was a challenge. However, my son had the brilliant idea of using a small fan and it worked great!
The WindPouch comes rolled up neatly in its own Poly-HEX polyester ripstop bag, the same material that the WindPouch is made of. The integrated pillow headrest provides head, neck and back support for an incredibly comfortable seating experience. All we had to do was roll it out, fluff up the two air chambers (the plastic lining tends to stick together), hold one chamber over the fan, close, repeat with the other chamber, close, roll up the end a few times and then lock in place with the securing buckle. That’s it. Climb on.

It is important to note that it you’ll want to inflate the chambers about 75% full so that we you lie on it, you’ll get a good fit. Too much air and you’ll roll right off. It’s actually very easy to adjust and the hammocks hold air for a good long time – up to eight hours! It can take a little practice to get it rolled back up and into the bag when you’re done with it. However with frequent usage, it become more easier. Though not intended to be used as a flotation device, it is also worth noting that the WindPouch is FUN to try out on the lake.
There are two versions of the WindPouch. The Lite version is what I received and is good for lots of casual outdoor activities and great for kid’s rec rooms. The Lite, available in a range of fun, bright colors, is perfect for the beach, poolside, lake, music festival or picnic in the park. The rugged WindPouch Go version is ideal for camping and backcountry hiking.
My family and I would highly recommend WindPouch for outdoor enthusiasts and those wanting to spend quality fun time with family and friends.
